FreeSpiderbasic startup problem ...

Post by marc_256 »

Hi all,

I need to write a small Firefox application.
So, I downloaded FreeSpiderbasic to test.

When I install Spiderbasic there are no problems.

But when I try to use it, it blocks at startup ?

PC with Win 10 pro / x64

Thanks,
marc

Hi plouf,

When I start Spiderbasic, I see the SpiderBasic logo on the screen (see picture below).
But the program stalls ... even after some time (see picture TaskManager).

Thanks,
marc

Hi plouf,

I completely removed Spiderbasic from my PC.
Reinstalled it...
And the same stuff happend.

I opened the SpiderBasic.chm file
and under [System requirements] there is no Win 10, (only XP, Vista, 7, 8)
Can this be the problem ?

I also think that the AV could be the problem

This must be updated in the SpiderBasic.chm file.

OK,

I completely removed Spiderbasic from my PC.
Re-downloaded a new SpiderbasicFree.exe
Reinstalled it...

When I start spiderbasic a get now this new message.

Seems like you dont have admin rights
Start with rightclikc "run as admin"

P.s. installation must also be permomed with admin rights..

@ plouf,

Well, this is my SpiderBasic logo on my Desktop.
It seems to be Admin controlled for me.

- I installed it as Admin,
- I run it as Admin
- I don't use any AV on this small PC - win10 pro x64

PS: I gone stop loosing my time, I will look for other solution for my browser program.

Thanks for your time,
marc
