Google Play will start requiring new apps to be published with the Android App Bundle starting August 2021. This will replace the APK as the standard publishing format.

i see no reason to drop apk at least without a few YEARS of transition...

So, what does that mean for app creation with SpiderBasic? SB is currently not under active developement. The last version is more than one year old. There's a beta 1 from seven month ago. Nothin going on here anymore. Seems the developer is working on a new compiler backend for PureBasic. A huge task, which will take a lot of time. No information about what is going on here with SB...
*sigh*

lets hope that a new "Beta" will released for aab since, as the article explains needs nothing but change an option in app creation
cordova also need to change an options, since already support aab

obviously big changes in SB will happen after PB6...
