SpiderBasic does seem to be coming along rather nicely - the main problem at the moment is getting it to work on a local machine - it seems to be a bit hit and miss about when it actually works, although running from a web site seems to be no problem.
Speed seems to be pretty good too.
It's major advantage (like PureBasic) is the GUI support.
