DataGrid

A DataGrid for user input (text, numeric and dates) would be nice.

All of these exist. I don't know what a data-grid is but it sounds like a layout and not a gadget.

If you're talking about an adaptive-layout container Dialog library already does that and is built in.

SpiderBasic has dGrid on board (the ListIconGadget is a slimmed down version of it).
dGrid has many great features by default (for example take a look: http://dgrid.io/js/dgrid/test/Editor.html).
I think it would be a good idea if Fred would provide us with an unrestricted version of dGrid as a GridGadget.
