Alternative SpiderBasic Logo
Hi all,
I have created myself a new rounded icon for SpiderBasic, as I was not so keen on the square version.
The .icns file for OS X is >> here <<.
The PNG file I created it from (for other platforms) is >> here <<
And here is what it looks like (smaller version of the above PNG):
Fred, if you like it, feel free to use it on any platform. Or just ignore this if it is not to your taste of course.
UPDATE: I no longer use the above web hosting. Here is a new link to the main PNG file (note that it is now included with SB as of 1.40 so you probably already have it)

My pleasure.
Re: Alternative SpiderBasic Logo
I tried, but it doesn't look OK with very small size like 16x16 or 32x32. I will try to find another way.

Maybe for those sizes revert to the square?
I used an autoscaling icns making app to create all the sizes from the original - let me see whether it has some fine tuning options

Malheureusement, non.
No options - I'll have a go at resizing the original file to 32x32 and 16x16 to see if it's any better.

Manually rescaling the 512x512 image to 32x32 and 16x16 using the Preview app gives:

Is that any better?

Thanks, but all I did was to pass the existing image into a couple of small apps that create icons and icon sets for me. All of 5 minutes - I don't have any artistic abilities I'm afraidArbrakaan wrote:Nice logo SparrowhawkMMU !

Now I've started playing around with OS X folders, but I'm not quite sure that they work as well. Still, I'm using the grey one for my own copy of SB and it looks not too shabby in the Applications folder.
If anyone wants one of these, let me know and I'll upload a DMG file with them in it.
