ReadData puzzling compiler message

by ljgww Thu Apr 16, 2020 4:14 pm

I have encountered an compiler error:

Line XX: ReadData(): Incorrect number of parameters

Line of code is:

Code: Select all
      actually_read = ReadData(File, *Buffer, SizeRead)

Documentation specify that this function uses 3 parameters. I have 3 parameters.

Am I doing something wrong? (piece of code comes in callback function in success branch, still does not explain why it is reported during compile time)
Maybe documentation is wrong?
Any other hints on this issue?

It is obvious that I need to read whole 'binary' file into a buffer.

Look at the status bar. The description there is currently more up-to-date than the one in the documentation:

Ha! That is a very neat feature! Did not notice it before.

Very many thanks, Peter!

Offset makes it even better function. :)
