I just tested with my new build and I can't make it crash, could you give it a try with the 2.21 beta 2 ?

I tried Beta 2.
The same like Beta 1, it doesn't compile.

It shows only the typical Spiderbasic blue screen, the debug window does not appear even though it is on. Every second time, the IDE says there was a crash. Otherwise nothing happens.
Tested with various Linux distributions.
Everything works with Windows 7/10.
Under Linux - WINE it also works (sometimes).

Even more reason to suspect a hardware problem.

And yet none of us can reproduce it... But it could be some of your very setting then : what do you set differently in a VM and on a real machine?

Linux Mint 18.x 19.x, Linux Mageia 6, Suse 15, Debian 9, all on normal, well-functioning PCs, normal standard installations. 2 PCs with open, free drivers.
With Virtualbox I tried Mint 18.3 x86.
All other software works perfectly. Only Purbasic 5.7 and Spiderbasic not.
(I've been working with Linux for over 20 years)

The examples all work.
My code has more than 10 000 lines.
Can I also call the compiler in the terminal?
How about the command for?
Can you give an example?

After many attempts, the IDE compiled one time.
The following message appeared in the debug window:

get: [object HTMLDivElement]

Does that help you?
